Prepare on your device
Make a chat ZIP
Select transcript files, paste chat text, or choose an existing export ZIP. The tool keeps supplied content rather than replacing it with a summary.
Archive the whole AI conversation
- Obtain the source chat. For a ChatGPT account export, open Settings → Data controls → Export data, then confirm. The resulting export is already a ZIP. Inspect it for the conversation you need; an account export can include other private chats and account information. Official export instructions (opens in a new tab)
- Choose the scope. Keep the full account export private. To share only this conversation, supply just that conversation’s transcript and relevant attachments to the ZIP tool above. The tool does not automatically select a conversation from an account export.
- Upload to Google Drive. Open the archive folder. On iPhone or iPad, in Drive use Add → File upload, select the ZIP, choose Location and the archive folder, then Upload. Google Drive upload help (opens in a new tab)
- Control access. Leave private backups restricted. For a reviewed archive intended for website visitors, change only that file’s General access to Anyone with the link → Viewer, where your account permits it. Give Editor access only to named collaborators. Google Drive sharing help (opens in a new tab)
This is an archive tool, not an automatic ChatGPT-to-Drive connection. It does not collect your passwords, API keys, or Google access tokens.
Publishing a specific ZIP on this website
After uploading a reviewed ZIP, copy its Google Drive share link. Add that link to publicArchive in site-config.js and redeploy the site. The “Open published AI chat ZIP” button then appears. Sharing permissions must still be set in Google Drive; editing the website does not change them.
The existing shared-correspondence link and the AI chat archive are separate resources. The correspondence is not labeled as an AI conversation.
